David E. Stovall
DAVID E. STOVALL (David) was born in Flowood, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Mississippi State University in 2003. Mr. Stovall received his Masters of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004 and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007. Currently, he serves as Assistant President of Province 15 for Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity and as Co-Chair of the Mississippi College School of Law Class of 2007. Mr. Stovall is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Capitol Area Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. He has been a member of the National Eagle Scout Association since 1994. His practice primarily consists of insurance defense litigation.

David Stovall defended a landowner in a two day trial after logging operations allegedly flooded a neighboring property. A jury returned a verdict to the plaintiff, but limited the recovery against the defendant to only 18% of the damages.
Allstate Insurance v. Richard C. Heck, United States District Court (September, 2011)
David Stovall obtained a declaratory judgment when the District Court held that coverage was unavailable to an injured worker under the terms and conditions of a homeowners policy.
Alfa Insurance v, Sri Ram, Inc., United States District Court (January, 2009)
David E. Stovall obtained a declaratory judgment in the U.S. District Court of the Southern Division of Mississippi when the Court held that the terms of a business owner’s insurance policy did not provide coverage to an injured employee for a lawsuit on premises liability and unsafe working conditions.
Appellate Court Decisions:
Alfa Ins. Co. v. Hasselle, No. 2010-CA-00609-COA (Miss. 2010)
The Mississippi Court of Appeals reversed and rendered the trial court's ruling in Alfa Ins. Corp. v. Hasselle in favor of the insurance carrier on appeal and at oral argument. David Stovall argued on appeal that the Chancellor's ruling was in error and the appellate court upheld family liability exclusions within automobile liability policies issued in the State of Mississippi.
Johnson v. Alfa Ins. Corp., 2008-M-00863-SCT (Miss. 2008)
David Stovall successfully defended an interlocutory appeal to the Supreme Court of Mississippi regarding the proper venue for the filing of a Complaint against an uninsured motorist carrier.
