On June 12 2008, Carl Hagwood and David Eaton obtained a defense verdict in a jury trial in United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. This nursing home/medical malpractice action alleged that the defendant’s negligence caused falls, multiple graphically photographed decubitus ulcers, malnutrition, sepsis and death. After a four day trial the jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant.
