Michael E. Phillips and Robert R. Stephenson have been named shareholders in the firm of Wilkins, Stephens & Tipton, P.A.
Mr. Phillips received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi College in 1996 and received his Juris Doctorate, graduating magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law in 2000. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable William L. Waller, Jr. of the Mississippi Supreme Court.
He and his wife, Laura, are the parents of two sons and are active members of Galloway United Methodist Church.
Licensed to practice in Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, Mr. Phillips is a member of D.R.I. (Defense Research Institute), Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, Mississippi Health Care Association, Tennessee Health Care Association and the American Medical Directors Association.
Mr. Stephenson graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree in 1994, and received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1997. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi.
A member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Mr. Stephenson is also licensed to practice law in Tennessee. His primary areas of practice are insurance defense litigation, worker’s compensation, products liability, medical malpractice and construction litigation.
Away from the office, Mr. Stephenson enjoys running as well as cycling and has competed in several triathlons.
